Michie Stadium

West Point gridders and lacrosse players are playing their home games at Michie Stadium on the latest in synthetic turf sports surfaces. EI developed the technical specifications and preliminary design documents to ensure the use of the highest quality synthetic turf and underpad materials. The criteria required replacement of the existing crowned, cross-flow draining field with a porous, vertically-draining system with subsurface collection pipes.

Along with the strict engineering criteria, EI incorporated a demanding construction schedule, allowing only 11 weeks for the installation of the new playing surface. The entire project was completed within budget and on schedule for the Cadets to take the field for the football season.
