Ruth Adams Building
Douglass Campus
EI Associates was retained to renovate Ruth Adams, a three story 1920’s structure located on Douglass Campus.
Renovation included the replacement of the slate roof area, new built-in copper gutters, restoration of rooftop skylights as well as the restoration of the exterior woodwork and cornice trim. Several metal sided “mechanical dormers” were redesigned to match the traditional slated dormers, including new dormer moldings, found elsewhere on the building.
In addition, this renovation included a complete window replacement. New double glazed, double hung wood windows were designed to match the existing profiles, style, and muntin patterns to preserve the building aesthetic.
