Nancy Thompson Library

EI Associates was selected to expand the Nancy Thompson Library on the campus of Kean University. The 20,000 sq.ft. expansion will consist of two additions to the existing three-story Library building.

For these additional structures particular attention will be given to the existing building’s ability to structurally support the additional loads, evaluating the existing infra-structure and services for future extension or integration.

East Wing:

• Add another story
• House University’s Human Rights Center
• Operate independently
• Distinctive, non-integral appearance from Library.

West Wing:

• Two-story addition
• Expand second and third floor of Library
• Systems will work integrally with existing Library
• Maintain character of existing Library.
