Hillview & North Boulevard Elementary Schools

After exploring nearly a dozen options for expanding the District’s schools, an option was selected and prepared for referendum. The plan included additions to two elementary schools, Hillview & North Boulevard, allowing the District to maintain its “neighborhood school” environment.

With EI’s participation, a $5.5 million referendum was passed. EI began the detailed design on an aggressive schedule and construction began the following summer. Both schools opened on schedule. EI successfully applied for retroactive financial aid for the District from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority under the new School Facilities Construction and Financing Act.
