Colgate-Palmolive Company
Technology Information Center & Offices The original main entrance area of the Colgate-Palmolive Company’s technology research center in Piscataway, NJ was more than 30 years old. With the completion of a new main entrance wing, the original main lobby became available for new uses.
The Fortune 500 manufacturer of personal and household products retained EI to transform the two-story “A” wing/west into a corporate library and modern offices.
A former open lobby with hall and stairway was converted into a reading area for the 5,000 sq.ft. Technical Information Center. It features a general-purpose reading section with private carrels, a circulation desk with computer terminals and, of course, bookshelves.
The 5,000 sq.ft. second floor was upgraded into staff offices and a computer training area. Carpeting and other finish materials are in keeping with the corporation’s “class A” quality image.
