The growth of Teva Pharmaceutials USA, in Sellersville, PA required more space for laboratories and offices to accommodate increased work load and staff. EI was selected to design and build an addition to supply this need for more space. EI master-planned the development of the site, and this addition was part of that program.

The addition was constructed of concrete slab on grade and steel framing. The exterior skin is a “Sto” plaster system including insulation, plywood sheathing and metal studs. All utilities were extended from tie-in points within the existing building, and include water, sanitary and lab waste systems, compressed air, deionized water and steam. Three new rooftop HVAC units provide proper environmental control.

The existing storm water detention basin was expanded to handle the increased runoff from this addition and anticipated future expansions. The parking lot was also expanded, and new site lighting and landscaping were incorporated. Upon completion, the project came in 10% below the budget estimate created by EI as part of the master plan.
