BASF Kearny, NJ Site

EI provided design and construction services for a soil washing plant for BioGenesis for their project to remediate the soil at the BASF site in Kearny, NJ, under the NJ Department of Environmental Protection’s ISRA Program.

The plant, operated by BioGenesis under contract to BASF, processes 25,000 cubic yards of soil. The plant also processes some port sediment to gather additional data to support the design of a 250,000 cubic yards/year commercial scale sediment washing facility, funded by the US Environmental Protection Agency, the NJ Department of Maritime Resources, and the US Army Corps of Engineers.
